I WAS THINKIN' [IN MY HEAD*] ABOUT...

A list of somewhat superficial things
that are currently on my mind

ONE (above left): I really need to hang this cabinet I salvaged so that I can clean up some of the little messes in my studio + other messes that have overflowed into the rest of the house.

TWO (above right) I really need to clean up the top of this type drawer because it is a mess + I need the type. Breaking down type is one of my least favorite things to do (washing dishes by hand is another).

THREE (no picture): I must-must-must work on my website! Or at least update the card images, that would be the quick fix. I found out I am listed on the i love letterpress directory with a link to my website + it's really embarrassing how old that work is. Also, the about the press section is outdated since I no longer live in a house that may (or may not) be haunted by the ghost of a distant relative of Myrna Loy.
*Note: I must find an equally strange story about our new house.

FOUR (above picture): I just bought these DVDs at a closeout store for $2.00 each, but I have no time to watch them in the near future.

FIVE (again, no picture): In an effort to somewhat organize my blog reading I think I need to use a service like Bloglines. I read blogs from the bookmark sections of 2 computers, my side bar + the side bars of a couple other blogs, so can see why I might need some organization. Does anyone have any input on one service over another? Using a service will make things easier, but I also dread another password + another website to learn about.

If you have stuck with me this far I will explain the * from the title. I used to work at a mental health clinic + a patient once started off a sentence saying, "I was thinkin' (pause, pause, pause) in my head..." + for some reason this struck me as the most unintentionally funny thing I had ever heard. It would not have been appropriate, but I wanted to ask him where else he would have been thinking.

And with that I'm off to make test prints + reluctantly break down some type,
Goodnight

*Update: I am now using Bloglines to read everyone's blogs + wondering why I did not do this before? Thanks to Susan's suggestion I have bookmarked my blogroll after logging in + now I don't even have to deal with a password. What ever will I do with all this newly created free time?

I like bloglines. It's set up so that when I log on to my computer, there's a little icon I click on that tells me if there are new posts in any of the blogs I subscribe to - no emails or passwords. The only dangerous bit is that you end up subscribing to about a million blogs because it's so easy!

Try to enjoy the night getting caught up on your chores.

My mom always prefaces her thoughts with, "In my mind..." - totally cracks me up. Like where else could it be comin' from, Ma? Anyhow, Bloglines saved my life. I am prone to speaking in hyperbole, but really, this service is amazing. I don't even sign in or deal with a passowrd. I did that once and then bookmarked the page so I can always go directly there. What a huge time saver. And you can copy and paste the blog addresses that you regularly read with no sweat. Do it! You'll be a changed woman!

well, I was thinking in my head too :) other times, it's by butt :) that you should definitely use Bloglines.

Honestly... it's quite a time-saver. Also, you can install a "subscribe" button in your web browser. So when you find a wonderful blog you want to visit again, you just click and it's entered into your feed list.

one word. awesome.

Oh good luck with the list of things to do :)
