Long ago I vowed never to carve a text heavy linocut again, but lately I've been a bit bored + searching for ideas for a piece I could really sink my teeth into. Enter the legend of La Llorona, which is a story I have been wanting to work on for quite some time. If my hands make it through this carving without shriveling up + falling off, I will also have some new prints about Lizzie Borden + El Chupacabra in the near future.Monday, June 29, 2009
WHAT THE #*%@ AM I GETTING MYSELF INTO?

I LOVE IT! But you are very crazy for carving that much type. Make sure you do your yoga hand stretches!
Wow - that is a lot of text. But, I am sure that it's going to turn out just beautiful!
I ask myself that same question many times! That carving is phenomenal! you can do it! you can do it!
Lizzie Borden?!? Bring it on! Can't wait to see what you do with her interesting story.
thanks for the book recommendation - i'll have to check it out!
your lizzie borden prints sound seriously amazing.
Wow, what a twisted story, I feel bad for the mom :( Well, and the kids of course. After having experienced carving my first lino block, all I can say is damnnnn, girl. That's some intense cutting! Can't wait to see it.
I want to try my hand at something like this one day. Looks so cool!
